Vienna Calling – HDR images

HDR-images are created by shooting the same photo with different exposure and then merging these to one frame. If you do this by using a tripod, the result is pretty sharp with the benefit of a far wider dynamic range of color saturation. As a result in landscape photography for instance, it is possible to show a relatively bright foreground with still all the colors of sky, clouds and the bright setting sun in the background.
The merging of images is done with Adobe Photoshop CS2 upward; just go to “file” – “automate” – “merge to HDR” !
(since I could not use a tripod this time, the results are a bit fuzzy; but even with those source-images it is possible to create accurate HDRs; you just have to take the time to manually crop the photos before to the same size and maybe twist them to the same angle.)
